This reimagined version is a full-on sonic transformation, courtesy of producer and multi-instrumentalist Syndrone, featuring dazzling guest solos by Sophie Burrell and Bradley Hall. It's a fresh take on a fan favorite, and it's already got everyone talking, including Dragonforce's very own Herman Li.
Li shared his thoughts on the modernized interpretation, praising the guest soloists' performances as "shredding and totally cool." He also had high praise for Syndrone, describing him as a "great player." But when it comes to the drum machine sound, Li draws the line. He explained, "We just don't use a drum machine. It sounds electronic to me, and that's not how Dragonforce would play it."
Li continued, "They're not doing our solos, and that's as it should be. It's a pain to learn someone else's solo note by note. When you play a guitar solo, you've got to make it your own."
For Theart, this reimagining is a labor of love, a gift to the fans who have supported him for two decades. "This song changed so many lives, including mine," he said. "It was time to give it a proper revisit and celebrate this milestone."
